Gimmie a break. Vitali was a DECENT fighter, who appears to be very injury prone. His claim to fame was a LOSS to Lennox Lewis, an old, out of shape, inactive one at that. He did have a good showing against Chris Byrd, but quit in that fight. THATS ABOUT IT. His two best fights were losses. I understand the circumstances in both of those fights, yes, he was winning but still, those fights are nothing to go crazy about.

FACT is he NEVER fullfilled his potential.
He LOST to the best 2 fighters he faced and the Loss to Lewis was against a fat out of shape past his prime Lewis as well.
Unfortunately Vitali has no real competition to compare against as he came along at the end of the last real decent Era of Heavyweight competition.
He retired the WBC Champ but WHO? did he beat of any real Class who will be hall of fame?
This is the bitter truth for any Vitali fan.
