I never said he did. They both had the same promoter and Arum publically said he wouldn't put the fight together. How exactly do you offer a fight when the idea is shot down before its even discussed?

LMAO @ people ignoring the original post and throwing out all type of red herrings when it is clear that Mayweather called out Shane in 2005! He hasn't expressed any such wish in 2007 after Mosley lost to Cotto!

Neither was Cotto ready when Floyd wanted a fight at 140 so it is not his burden, nor does he need to break his neck for shaky ass fighters who were scared to death to fight him in the past, build their unstable confidence, then try and challenge him (even though contrary to popular belief, not many are openly challenging him right now) 2 years later to take advantage of his ppv sales and status. Floyd is the current Champ and undefeated 5-division world champ, he owes nobody anything..not even whiney fans.

If he is not going to fight the best, he should retire!!!! I agree with you in that, PBF doesn't owe anything to anyone. He was and as of now is the best, but in like any other sport, he needs to maintain that. If not he'll lose his current status, to keep it he must fight the best available. And right now we know the one is Cotto.

DLH put his differences aside with arum to promote a fight between both of their fighters..they didnt put their differences aside when it came to DLH fighting..there is a reason DLH and Floyd left Arum and its because ARUM only cares about his pockets and not enough of what the fighter wants

Shane at this age wouldn't beat Floyd IMO. For some reason it seemed like he got tired against Cotto(probably that body work by Cotto). 5 or so years ago and I think(at 147) Shane would be the victor.

I would like Shane to fight Margarito and beat the **** out of him or retire.
