Can Floyd take a punch to the chin/body?

This is not a hate thread a genuine question as I haven't seen a great deal of him only his last fight against De La Hoya and some highlights.

I can tell from what I've seen he is a great defensive boxer and can come forward after dismantling opponents.

But how does his chin rate and can he take a dig to the midsection, can anyone point out some particular fights where I could gage this for myself.

Also could he outbrawl Hatton,Cotto or Mosley.

    demarcus corley
    castillo
    de la hoya

    he can take a punch...

hes not gonna outbrawl them, cuz he is gonna outbox hatton easily, outbox cotto, but with lots of trouble in between imo, and outbox mosley also with some fits from sugar shane...

Cheers, how about to the body and could he outbrawl the fighters I mentioned.

I saw the De La Hoya fight but expected more from him.
Also what was the fight where he was supposedly hurt.

I believe so. You can look back to the DLH fight he took some really good shots from Oscar. Hatton can't hurt Floyd.

I'll go and check them out on youtube and see what I think.

I know he'll opt to outbox all of them, but was just wandering if his chin was that good that if he wanted he could stand and trade with Cotto,Hatton and Mosley and not be troubled.

He slips, moves away and rolls with punches which will take a lot of the sting out of them which would help you to take a good punch because you're not taking the full force of it. But can he stand there and take them in your opinion or isn't his chin that great, good but not great.

Who's hit him to the body hard and often is there a fight that would show this.

floyd fought oscar very well. remember, mayweather started his career many weight classes below junior middleweight, so you cant except him to brawl with the MUCH stronger de la hoya...

the fight floyd was hurt in was the demarcus corley fight, and he weathered the storm like a champ and came back to light corley up!

I'll definately watch that a bit later today then. Thanks.

I just can't wait for this fight, to me this will answer a lot of questions about both fighters. Just hope it's not totally one sided and a really good fight then we might be able to get a rematch out of it.

He can take body shots very well he took some good shots from Jesus Chavez and Jose Luis Castillo he hasn't been hit on the chin that much but i was very impressed how he took that massive hook from Corley and comeback very quickly.

floyd fought with broken ribs against castillo and still took punches to the body, he's tough. Thers a reason he's p4p, if his chin wasnt good, he would of been knocked out by now,
