THe psychology behind these haters is simple: They need something to hate; an external outlet for their miserable self perceptions. For many, PRs are the likely latent target or vent so to speak. Though they would never try this in the flesh, they see the humble, laid back nature of the PR as safe enough to hate.
Their well documented screaming from the cheap seats "Go Jordan go!!!" love/obsession for the black athlete, does not allow for the venomous rantings...they are riddled with too much white-guilt for that. Exactly, I love the way everyone seems to know how to beat Cotto but when they get in the ring they come out losing. I think Tony is a perfect match for Cotto.
