I'm one of those type of fans where I can never hate on a boxer that knows how to win period...I pay for watching winners win, no matter how its done...u may call it boring, but I call it being tactical and smart, the game is like surgery to them (hopkins, floyd, etc.)...even I like sluggers/pressure fighters, just as long as they know how to win and good at what they do...

Hopkins knows how to win a fight, figures out a way to neutralize ur best weapon or skill which is speed in Joe's case...B-Hop thinks outside the box and uses his tools to con his way to victory...its not that Hopkins plans for his opponents best, but he plans for the worse for him...and as crazy as it sounds, Hopkins is probly the last guy u wanna go to war with...he'll just drain u..

Yeah but at 42 years old I don't think he can win anymore, not against some of the top fighters at least. Calzaghe will certainty beat him. The thing is I've noticed Hopkins skills have rapidly declined since his fight with Eastmen, and fans hate how he's been fighting sloppy while being a hard ass when it comes to negotiating fights. This is not the Hopkins that dismantled Trinidad, he can no longer neutralize an opponents best weapon. If he truly wants to prove he's the best at his division, why don't he fight Dawson? Of course he doesn't want to fight Dawson because he is going to murder him, on top of that he's not a big name yet. I understand he's 42 years old and will be very cautious on who he picks, but he should retire now.

Yeah Winky was the #5 p4p fighter alright, but that don't mean ****. I bet it must of been difficult for Bernard to bully a fighter who punches like a welterweight and at the same time being naturally bigger then him. If you really want to see Hopkins show his age, he should fight against Dawson, because he will get murdered, literally. Better yet let's see him fight against Calzaghe, if that fight ever happens.
