Of his time, with the exception of Roy Jones, sure, of all time, not in a million years.

        Yeah let's get real though.

Prime for Prime he'd give Hagler problems with his slickness, he'd simply wear Monzon down who couldn't deal with his punching angles, and more than likely a blown up Ray Robinson would have to be ridiculously busy..........because his defense was suspect to begin with and by today's counter punching and effective aggression standards..........throwing Jab, Right, Left hook over and over that's partially blocked and being hit with leaping uppercuts and hooking punches that smother the boxer puncher...........totally taking out of his rhythm would be his fast road to losing a fight against Hopkins in a Fantasy Matchup.

No way could Robinson just take him out in the trenches at MW.

I wonder how he would have done in his prime against Roy Jones Jr, oh wait, he fought him in his prime, Bernard LOST.

its weird, everyone was praising Hopkins for beating Tarvar and now those same people are putting down Hopkins after Calzaghe's latest win...

There decent fighters but a B-hop they will never be!

Jeebus. Dont you know that a man's character can be measured by the way he fights? That ex-con fights dirty like I've never seen. Also, he makes promises he can't keep. Shows you the kind of character that is. He is a ***** personified.

I'm one of those type of fans where I can never hate on a boxer that knows how to win period...I pay for watching winners win, no matter how its done...u may call it boring, but I call it being tactical and smart, the game is like surgery to them (hopkins, floyd, etc.)...even I like sluggers/pressure fighters, just as long as they know how to win and good at what they do...

Hopkins knows how to win a fight, figures out a way to neutralize ur best weapon or skill which is speed in Joe's case...B-Hop thinks outside the box and uses his tools to con his way to victory...its not that Hopkins plans for his opponents best, but he plans for the worse for him...and as crazy as it sounds, Hopkins is probly the last guy u wanna go to war with...he'll just drain u..

Yeah, but you gotta make a distinction between winning a la Pacquiao- Morales and winning a la Floyd-DelaHoya. There is really a big difference, unless you're a nuthugger.

Bernard was HOF middleweight. He hasn't been at that level of skill in a long time. I don't think most boxing watchers "hate" him. They just think that he's turned into a businessman and continues to hang around needlessly for the money. In short, Bernard is no longer relevant.

a nuthugger of winners...and Calzaghe is undefeated so u should know where I stand with him (padded record or not), he's a special talent...some say he slaps, but he wins right?...Bernard is dirty, but he wins...Hatton's workrate is 2nd to none and thats how he wins...Cotto is a great pressure fighter so he wins...Floyd is, well u know...and so on, and so on, and so on....I'm pinoy by the way, so Pacquiao won't count lol...he's the quickest pressure fighter out there!
