    Ray Mancini talks about Doo Koo Kim tonight!

    Staring at 8:00 Eastern time on ESPN classics, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini will talk in depth about his fight with Doo Koo Kim for the first time. Doo Koo Kim suffered fatal injuries during the Lightweight title fight against Mancini.


    Following that, the movie "Champion" will be shown. It's about Doo Koo Kim.

      Ya, that ref should have stopped this fight much sooner than he did. I think the ref and Kims mother both commited suicide several months after the fight.

            Mancini is a great guy and never wanted this to happen. I bet this is going to be hard for him to talk about.

              Cool. I was going to post this.

              The movie "Champion" is a great movie. I actually rented it from blockbusters and afterwards mentioned it here, nobody seemed to know about the movie. The one i saw had sub-titles. So you have to read when watching the movie. Would be cool if they did a voice over but either way it was a great movie.

                  Yeah its a very good movie. I also rented it a few months back.

                  I read that at one point Mancini landed 39 unanswered punches in the 13 round. Unbelievable the fight wasn't stopped. But, looking back now and knowing the referee committed suicided later, he obviously regretted his actions (or lack thereof).
