Way to go Roy... it's a good thing you decided that you would go to England when you still had all your skills and high status in the sport.

He was willing to fight Eubank and Benn in London, but Eubank wouldn't entertain it and Benn was with Don King who for some reason Jones wouldn't fight for back then (neither would Eubank, that's why Eubank didn't fight in US)

Does Jones really need to go to England to get destroyed? He's an old man, the least Joe C can do is beat Roy close to Florida. That way Roy can go back to the home right afterwards.

LOL, u know..I mean no offense to anyone, honestly, but now that u mention it I never really thought about it but it is true I guess. Most Americans I think associate Calzaghe with ENGLAND and not Wales. I mean, if you asked me today where is Joe from I would have automatically said England and if you asked me what part I might have even said Wales!! I think subconsciously we think of Wales as "part of England" rather than part of the UK.

I think at this point in his career he wants to travel because he just wants to make a buck. For so many years he didnt want to travel anywhere.

He should have fought Dariusz Michalczewski who was 46 - 0 right up until 2003.

To be fair though the fight would probably take place in England instead of the millenium stadium, not that thats right.

I'd actually rather travel to USA to see Calzaghe's next fight, at least then it will stop the talk about him only willing to fight in his own backyard.

I wouldn't trust Jones. He made similar statements after the Lacy fight, but priced himself out. He wanted 60/40 to the winner, which is bull****.
