I don't think Jones is any where near the fighter that he was, but do think that his body has recovered from moving up to Heavy then back down to Light-Heavy.

Think it would actually be a decent fight, although believe Calzaghe would be the clear winner.

One good thing about this is that if Hopkins prices himself out, then Calzaghe has a decent, good paying stay busy fight that would actually get him motivated for.

It also adds pressure on Hopkins to play ball in a realistic fashion in negotiations, which is definitely a plus.

hes talking BS. he know he won't fight one of the best fighters around. he should stick to choosing fighters that are past their prime and has no chance of beating him before he gets knocked out again.

I don't think Calzaghe or Warren would have too much of a problem with 60/40 split towards the winner. Given RJJ's previous track record when it comes to negotiating I'm just surprised anyone thinks he was playing a straight bat.

Lets see how jones does against trinidad, if he puts on a good perfomance, then he should fight calzaghe, if hopkins wont fight JC, why not?

face it! roy is one of the very few that can match calzaghe for handspeed! rephrase that from middleweight up the only man who can match calzaghes handspeed! and add to this how roy fights off the ropes nowadays and calzaghe can adapt, i say its a foty candidate! unlike if it had happened 6 years ago where it would have been boring! for me if they can get trinindad out of reirement surely the can tempt michelewski! jones should fight michelewski and glen johnson! then think about the calzaghes and world titles!

This is what I mean... Calzaghe wins one big fight and he turns into the god of boxing.
