Official: Jermain Taylor Splits from Manny Steward

The decision is in: Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward is out as the trainer for former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor.

Ozell Nelson has taken over training, but they have contact Taylor's former trainer Pat Burns to come back and help Taylor for the Pavlik rematch.

Why? They can't possibly be blaming steward, simply because Jermain doesn't like to listen..

Changing trainers all the time rarely helps a boxer. Bad move by JT.

Taylor has all the skills to be an atg... Steward is a great trainer... it's a shame it didn't work out.

            Finally...
Manny and Pavlik would be great together, Manny would turn unleash a monster out of Pavlik. But that won't happen, Pavlik would never step away from his current trainer.

I thought Taylor could have won the rematch, but this confirms that I think Pavlik will win again.

Bad bad move. He should just stick to Steward. Compare him to the Spinks fight, HE BECAME A LOT BETTER. He still had issues he had to work on, but man what an improvement from the ****ty spinks fight.

they are only removing him because steward is training to many guys as it is.

Klitschko and Cintron both have fights in february, so does Taylor. it'd be to much.

I agree with the decision, although if Taylor could get Stewards full attention then it would have been a bad move. but they cant, so...

Manny or any other trainer won't make a differnce if Taylor doesn't listen to his corner.
