What if Roy stopped after Ruiz?

What if Roy Jones Jr retired after beating John Ruiz?

Would you rate him higher in yourr atg p4p list.

Personally I would rate him alot higher even though he still has ACHIEVED the same but then we wouldn't have found out about his chin.

Tbh, Heavyweight destroyed Roy, the best thing he could have done was to stay at that weight and make a few defences. It slowed him down, and he was never the same.

No, he still achieved the same, just had a few losses, everyone gets them.

Yes, definatly. Roy was unstoppable up to that point and he would have seemed unstoppable forever.

There would by 8000 threads here debating who was the greatest - Roy, Ali, or Ray Robinson.

Funny thing is, I think there is anyway..

I've definitely read a thread with this topic...

But I think you'd have to rate him in the top 10 ATG, if he stopped there.

Top 5! I swear that was his crowning achievement. I honestly believe he should have won his return fight, and retired, not giving Tarver a rematch since he looked faded in that fight. 49-1, with his only loss being a DQ, and being a 4 division champion and undisputed LHW champ, beating all the competition, is enough to seal that legacy, along with his performances.

Sad story imo, because I really think Tarver robbed him from being considered top 10, greatest of all time..

Yea, I've just been watching a few of his fights again recently, God was he amazing, everytime i watch him i'm amazed even if i've seen it before.

Roy would be in the Top 3 ATG in my book if he made one or two defences at Heavyweight instead of moving back down, He would definatly be the Greatest of All Time if one of those was against Lennox. (thats asking a ****ing lot though lol)

Dosent really matter, the question should be where would he rank if he had retired after the fight.

Than he would have been even more overrated for the rest of eternity because he never would have had his chin checked.
