Didn't B-hop think Oscar would KO Floyd like he did DLh? It will be a great fight, I kind of rather see it at the end of the year though. Cotto beats Antonio and maybe another fighter come June. Floyd beats Ricky and P-dub/Cintron winner and they fight for ALL THE MARBLES. I am salavating just at the thought of this happening.Comment

anyhow on topic, i agree that mayweather is gonna have a problem with Cotto, thats a fight mayweather will really have a handful with, i think he might edge cotto, but the problems i thought cotto had were answered against mosley, that was a serious quality win.Comment

Things to think about this Cotto vs PBF Mayweather bout
1. Mayweather beats judah after judah gets tired lack of stamina... the first rounds judah was just killing him and he even hurt him in the second round.
2. Cotto killed judah and judah was much better prepared for this fight than he ever was for mayweather.
3. Mosley is as fast as Mayweather better chin better stamina and better punch.
4. Mayweather covers himself during pressure times and cotto will land on his body on his shoulders and it will hurt him to death....
5. De la Hoya gave trouble to Mayweather and Mayweather didnt touch him he just ran like a bytch. De La Hoya lost 2 times with Mosley and dont say styles make fights de La hoya was the one pressing the fight against Mayweather... that fight was totally ******... and still Cotto will pressure him to death...
6. Some people think Mayweather will beat hatton thats ridiculous.... Kosta Tzu a much stronger fighter with a real power punch could not stop Hatton...
7. Castillo gave trouble to Mayweather - Hatton beats Castillo to the body...
8. Mayweather wont get past Hatton or any other Fighter left out there...
Margarito will crush him, Cotto will kill him.... he just selects his opponents....
9. Judah proved to be as fast as him in the fight he just got tired... Cotto will crush him!
What else can I say to prove my point.. Cotto had a weak chin.. yes before his ear drum surgery he had problems with his ear drum before the 2 fights he got hurt. After having surgery he has not been down or hurt badly. Some people dont understand Cotto had a car accident and his ear drum was hurt it caused him dizzyness when he got hit on the ear.. no more now!!!!
To end this I just have to say its not styles what makes fights it is the ability of a fighter to adapt to a fighter style and find an opening and Cotto just proved he is able to do that when he fought Mosley... Can Mayweather adapt to Cotto when he hurts his body.?????????? thats something we will see in the future... if he does and runs like a chicken maybe he can win a decision...Comment

Exactly why Cottos hard ass jab would give Mayweather problems. Mayweathers jab is not better then cottos, and thats why Mayweather will duck Cotto. Cottos jab is what make the difference in the fight, and if Hopkins knows this then he also knows he is too old to step in the ring against Calzaghe and if he is as smart as he claims he will price himself out and just pretend to talk about fighting Calzaghe.Comment

Cotto used the jab with Mosley but he didnt use it before on other fights do you see the ADAPTATION here...
you need to understand Cotto will adapt to any style and Mayweather is the perfect victim for Cotto he doesnt have a heavy punch like other fighters Cotto have faced so Cotto will pressure and be able to hurt him...
I want everyone here to think about the speed of Mayweather he isnt faster than Judah watch the fight and see how Judah was much much faster than him but he got tired... so Dont talk about Jabs and more bull**** ... be a serious boxing fan and post serious comments...Comment

Im tellin you, Cotto's style was custom made to give Mayweather problems, probably even destroy him.
That shoulder defense leaves Mayweathers mid-section open for a beating, not only that, but when Mayweathers behind that shoulder D pot shotting, those pot shots probably aren't even strong enough to fend Cotto off.
Mayweather is running after the first bell, or the second/third round.Comment

I see too many people in here giving their own sweeping, dismissive analysis that can easily be seen as wishful thinking..very see through.
Whoever says that Judah was more prepared for Cotto than he was for Mayweather is a biased loser. Judah looked way better as far as being willing to let his hands go, accuracy, speed, and focus. Plus he wasn't coming off a year lay off.
Mayweather's shoulder roll is not his only defensive maneuver and people who keep bringing that up as Mayweather's only answer to pressure really sound like kids. He also twists his waste very well with the rythm of punches, uses his reach to keep you at Bay, and dips out. You can actually see him working, in the process of twisting, turning, giving you angles until he finds the ones that work best.
Whoever said Cotto's jab is better than Mayweather's is obviously wearing a straight jacket, or is Puerto rican. Mayweather has a comfortable reach advantage over Cotto, and when he uses his jab, especially to the mid-section, it is one of the best in the business. Cotto's jab is inferior in comparison. You can tell that he's still honing his jab, while Mayweather has mastered it and mostly uses it to set up shots or keep you at bay.
Cotto would charge and get picked off.. When Mosley finally started bouncing around on his toes, he started putting work in and Cotto had no answer for it other than to throw punches, which unfortunately, an older Mosley was unable to dodge as easily.
Mayweather's accuracy, reflexes, speed, foot work, balance, jab, and ring intelligence is all better than Mosley's and given that that fight was so close, I see Cotto as easy work for Floyd...too slow.
