    i know i would respect him more.

    then a cotto fight. because thats the biggest fight out there.

    maybe flood would drag it out longer by fighting a top contender tuneup if he gets thru hatton.

          Depends on how he beats him. If he does it decisively, then yeah. If he starts that love tapping and running, then he will get boo'd even in triumph.

              Ideal weightclass are you for real?. Hatton is going to be the slightly bigger man come fight time.
              Mayweather is like the only true "top ten welterweight" (besides Mosley) in a division that's full of middleweights posing as welterweights.

                  It won't give Mayweather anymore credit. Beating Cotto would give him more credit. As far as I'm concerned, Hatton will always be a junior welterweight to me and even though I like the guy, there are many true welterweights who were/are more deserving of a fight with Mayweather because they paid their dues in that division.
