I think that beating Hatton, a guy in his prime, although not in his ideal weightclass, would be amazing and people would have to stop saying " oh he's always dodging this and that" althought the fact that he doesn't want to fight Cotto after he beating Mosley is a real ***** move. But let's see how it goes I guess. All the Floyd hate is really getting annoying and if he beats hatton he should get more respect.

    IMO.

Of course they won't respect him no matter what he does, which is why we have a little word called "hater", which describes people like that. Floyd isn't fighting for people like that because they whine and ***** when they don't get their way, as if they can control what a grown man does with his career, which he has so far mapped out perfect.

Hatton is the exact same size as Mayweather, there is absolutely no weight issue as far as ideal divisions. Hatton weighed more at 140 for his last fight than Floyd at 154 in his last fight. Hatton is young, strong, explosive, and 43-0. He's the best fighter in Britain (tied with Calzaghe imo), and totally in his prime. If Floyd is not respected more (by the haters) for such a huge win, then why is he even fighting and who is he fighting for?

            Hatton is a junior welterweight.

              ......................

If u look at the fights this year all boxers came to box and looked good...even if that boxer lost....Mayweather is the last big fight of the year so he's like the closing act of a show....he has to beat hatton impressively in my opinion.... Im a huge mayweather fan....but at times we look at boxers like we look at ourselves like they can do no wrong.... Mayweather is starting to bother me ....does he fight non exciting because he just gauges his competition and than says this guy cant beat me so ill just do enough to win or has he lost his taste for combat... this of course dosent mean that he has to be a brawler ... thats not boxing... but i enjoyed mayweathers style more when he would do what he does but put on a good show.... like when he fought corrales... or the time bomb ndou.... Im a huge fan mayweather and i have always supported u now its time to clean out that division and secure ur legacy ...noone is gonna remember that u beat gatti or baldomir ... if u dont wanna fight anymore thats fine... thats ur choice and u have worked hard in ur carrer to merit not wanting to fight anymore...but if u are gonna fight fight up to the caliber of ur talent and destroy ur opponents... because the way uve been fighting can actually work against u in one of ur fights and ull find urself on the losing end of the score cards.......

Depends on how Floyd beats Hatton I guess. If he knocks Hatton out, then he'll get tons more respect I think. But it's also true that the haters will always find ways to dicredit a fighter they hate.
