Hatton would win this one. ive followed both of these fighters in all/most of their fights and hatton would be too much for him, although people questioned cottos chin he has shown he can take a punch but i aint to sure about the body punches and constant pressure.

Cotto by decision or late TKO. The guy is just too damn strong and I doubt Hatton would know how to take away his body attack like Mosley did. Cotto also wouldn't have to worry about any real size/reach disadvantages, so he wouldn't be subject to punishment coming in with his punches.

Smothering your guy will work if he's a weaker man. Cotto is not that. A physically strong fighter like Collazo was able to hold Ricky off. I know Collazo is a different type of fighter, but Cotto is a better talent regardless.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Judah and Mosley are both faster than Hatton and have just as much if not more power than Hatton and neither fighter beat Cotto. Cotto would **** Hatton up, he's just to strong.

Cotto wears down Hatton & stops him late. Cotto is so damn strong I don't see anything that Hatton could do to deter him. Cotto has a better jab, deceptive hand speed, & a strong will. Hatton would lose valiantly but would pay a huge price for trying to go toe-to-toe with him. There are two fighters that I would favor at this point over Cotto & one's Mayweather (for obvious reasons). The other is Paul Williams. Even though PW doesn't hit that hard he's got such advantages over Cotto I'm not sure he could overcome. His reach, south paw stance, & not to mention he throws so many damn punches a round would be a problem for anyone in the division.

It could very well be an issue of weight because Hatton himself said that he wouldn't fight at 147 again and that's why he went back down to 140. He wasn't comfortable at 147 as we all saw the night he fought Collazo. Cotto definitely will not go down 140 again for obvious reasons.

if Urango can trouble Hatton with body shots, imagine what Cotto can do...Cotto by close decision..

AND I point out to the fact that Cotto will switch hit his stances, thus confusing Hatton since southpaws usually give him nightmares...

Cotto's not as big as Urango, and Hatton thoroughly outboxed him the first half of the fight.

To be honest, I think that Cotto would get muscled around by Ricky (since Shane was doing it) , and possily be put off by his constant movement, which he can sustain for much longer that Mosley could at this stage.

                      Your thoughts?
Hatton is faster and busier than Cotto and I've never seen him run, unlike Cotto. I've got Hatton at least by decision..
