Mayweather already stated that he will not fight Cotto..

He will do a rematch with Oscar

Mayweather also said he was going to retire.

He also said he wasn't going to fight Hatton.

Floyd is a smart business man, he knows how to make money. The more he says, "I'm not going to fight Cotto", the more the fans are going to get on him and demand that fight, and the bigger it will become because of all the attention/debate focusing around it. It's quite obvious he loves to play the villian, and the fact that you guys take what Floyd says seriously is quite amusing.

There is no doubt in my mind that if Mayweather wins against Hatton, and despite all his claims that he won't fight Cotto, I garuntee you that he will. There's too much money in that fight.

But by then, all the Floyd haters will give him **** for not fighting Paul Williams instead. After all, Cotto just beat an old Shane Mosely and a shot Zab Judah

manny is right. floyd says he's fought the best of his generation, but he has'nt fought margarito, cotto, williams, cintron, instead he's fought older guys he already knows he can beat. he don't wanna risk anything. i hav'nt seen him unify titles, and he jumps around to fight the easy fights, duck duck duck, chicken cause he sure ain't no goose.
