Well it's not like Cotto shut down every aspect of Shane's game. When Shane tried to box and move, he did pretty damn well, adn won a lot of those rounds.
Mayweather doesn't do much other than box and move, so that is why people are saying that he might be able to beat Cotto now, because he follows the exact blueprint that Shane showed everyone tonight.
I said that Mayweather would be able to beat Cotto with that style... IF Cotto doesn't come up with an answer to it, which very well may happen, because that is obviously going to be in discussion in their camp after this fight, considering how well Mosley really did with boxing and moving against Miguel.
That's a big IF either way. They could easily figure out a way to get to Floyd when he boxes and moves, or they could find out that they have no answer that Miguel is capable of effectively executing. That is why we should have a fight to answer those questions.
It was never really Judah, he was uppose to be a big stepping stone thats all.. Mosely had all the intangables to beat Miguel and almost did it... Floyd is who ever WW wants and has to be compared to those before him.. Cotto is a solid guy who as of tonight found his jab, exhibited stellar ring presence, and despite seeming to be illing rounds 8 and 9 sustained just enough to pull out the win.. Floyd though is to overwhelming in his movement and punching one-minute moving the next, Shane Mosely is a great fighter but lets his pride take-over had he not tried to stand his ground early instead of boxing he may have faired better.. We know boxing is Floyds game and Cotto if he fight like he did tonight is to stationary and with those gloves so high and opened underneath Floyd would eat him alive with left uppercuts to right hooks that hurt!
