Just an aside about a Calzaghe/Hopkins fight....

Where was Calzaghe 5 years ago?...why was he not demanding a Hopkins fight back then.It's easy to want to fight Hopkins now that he has gotten old,no matter what kind of shape he is in.
The fact is Hopkins is 2-2 in his last 4 fights,and is 42 years old...so now Calzaghe has grown a pair,and a win over Hopkins is suppose to mean something?

where the **** have you been buddy? Did you not read the article that said that both Hopkins/Jones Jr were asking for a ridiculous amount of money 5 years ago to fight Calzaghe. Hbo wrote this, the ppl who sign the god damn paychecks!!! Calzaghe doesn't duck ppl, they duck him.

Come on guys people who made threads saying calzaghe is Britain's bets ever boxer are crazy. He is 35 never been out of the uk to fight a big fight and hasnt even fought anyone who has proved to be a world class champion. Ricky hatton although going to get beat by floyd has been out of the uk moved up weights and back down again and has fought decent opponents ok castillo may not of been in his prime but he has still got that on his record. Id much rarther look back at my career and say yeh i went to america fought this guy, fought tsyzu in the uk and fought floyd in america before i was 30. People say he has held on for the belt for 10 years without getting beat because he hasnt fought anyone thats why.

yeh floyd is a dirty fighter aswell and has got away with using his elbows for years and years but so is ricky hatton. Back to the subject matter, joe beat this guy called veit i think, a german, beat him with ease and then a year later had a rematch with him what the **** is all that about. Thats what i mean when i say calzaghe isnt the best british fighter because he fights these bums and we are all suppose to be ecstatic about him. 35 and he is suddenly fighting the big boys , if frank warren is as good as he makes out then im sure he could of made that fight happen. Why do you think ricky hatton ****ed him off, because he only cared about the money and couldnt get ricky the fights he wanted.
