Ricky hatton although going to get beat by floyd has been out of the uk moved up weights and back down again and has fought decent opponents ok castillo may not of been in his prime but he has still got that on his record. Id much rarther look back at my career and say yeh i went to america fought this guy, fought tsyzu in the uk and fought floyd in america before i was 30. People say he has held on for the belt for 10 years without getting beat because he hasnt fought anyone thats why.
its a close call for me. depends if calzaghe fights a d beats hopkins. we'll see

Looking at it from across the pond...Lennox would be my choice.
But,much respect to Ricky Hatton...win,lose or draw against Mayweather.

As for Calzaghe...he has been a great local champ, which is good for him and his fans. But Hatton and Lewis are and were much closer to being true world champions.

Huh? Local champ? What bul;l**** are you talking?

Calzaghe is a better champion than even Lennox Lewis, Hatton is not close.

                  , Hatton is not close.
I disagree, not putting JC down, he's my favorite current fighter, but his division is not as competitive as Lewis' in the 90's. Lewis completely cleared out the division with one of the best resumes in HW history. If JC fights and beats B-Hop, then it is hard to tell for me.

That's debatable, but I don't want to debate it. In any case those two dominated divisions for extended periods, Hatton did not.

Yea let's just leave it at that, Hatton still has a lot to prove, I don't think he is close to finishing his career yet, he shouldn't be talked about in a historical fashion yet.
