    It's worth distinguishing between the southpaw stance and being left-handed, because some trainers will train a naturally left-handed boxer to fight in an orthodox stance, not merely for convenience but because there may be an advantage in having the jab delivered with the stronger hand. Hence a number of boxers who fought in an orthodox stance may have been converted left-handers.

      Im actually an orthodox fighter who fights out of a southpaw stance. I agree that its the stance because no one cares about Oscar fighting orthodox. He has a mean left hook because of it but its still not something that you worry about tricking you like a southpaw stance can

            hagler could switch between both stances watch the hearns hagler fight and look at the switch he coped much better in the 2nd i think due to the switch.
