I'm a big Winky fan, I think his power and chin are massively underrated. The only thing I don't like about him is that at times he seems to be able to finish oppenents but refuses to finish them. A good example would be the first fight with Mosley, he pummelled him around the ring in that fight. Even Shane recently stated Winky was a very powerful fighter (he said that to be able to prove Cotto won't be able to knock him out).

Winky is a more exciting fighter than Hopkins in my opinion, but I will admit he's not the most exciting fighter. I like to watch him though

I like Wink. He's got a charismatic personality. As far as ringwork, I like what he does. Nobody really fights exactly like he does. He's unique and amazingly skilled. I'd say he's one of my top 10 favorite fighters.

Yeah he took it to Vargas late in the fight.

I don't see how, and I made the thread a while back...............that Vargas won. In fact, I think it was more skewed in Winks favor than most scored it.

Because he won 3 of the last 4 rounds easily, plus a couple/few swing rounds. Vargas started off fast throwing hard combinations, but let's also keep in mind the H.B.O. crew was doing their best biased Vargas job ever.

You'd hear "Huge combination by Vargas". When the punches weren't hitting **** except the back hand of Wright's gloves.

He took mucho backwards steps before he got his new style. He really was a Mayweather-type of fighter back before the Vargas fight changed his life.

I love watching Winky. I don't think any of his fights are boring either, they might not be as exciting as certain fighters but thats because he doesn't need to take punishment to give it he just blocks everything that gets thrown at him. Honestly Winky is my favorite fighter.

if you put him in front of a fighter like Jermain, he will be more exciting. he just needs to fight a fighter that will make his style exciting. of course if he fights Bernard Hopkins he will look boring because Hopkins is equally defensive minded.i can be entertained just watching him block shots and making the other fighter look ****** by countering him.

He's the toughest fighter in professional boxing. Nobody can withstand the kind of mental as well as physical trauma he can.

The only guy who smiles when he gets hit........that isn't faking it.
