Even at his peak Tyson found the bigger men harder to handle, especially those with Ring savvy and boxing ability.

Lewis typifies what Tyson hated in an opponent so although I feel it would have been close I would pick Lewis over Tyson, prime v prime.

      Ali
      Louis
      Holmes
      Foreman

Are all rated higher than Lewis imo he is probably at number 5 or just outside the top 5.

I guess you can put Lewis in the top 10. But I understand that Tyson had problems with big men who could box. Lewis I don't feel had the chin to deal with Tyson in his prime. Lewis' chin would fail him not his boxing skills.

Tyson had alot of trouble with James Tillis because of his movement and also Tony Tucker.

Why do you ask 1-10? Some of us have him lower than that. Look at the poll in history.

            Me? 11-15

Lewis was not one to move around the ring like that. I am far from saying he was stationary but he did move around like say an Ali or even Chris Byrd. Like I said before Lewis never had a great chin that is a known fact. Tyson in his prime was a KO KING. Lewis' CHIN WOULD FAIL HIM THIS FIGHT NOT HIS SKILLS. Meaning I can see him outboxing Tyson but I think Tyson would KO him by catching him with one of his bombs.

I strongly disagree. It's not fact Lewis didn't have a great chin at all. Anyone can be knocked out especially at heavyweight. Both were decent punchers and Lewis walked onto the McCall one which doubles the power, the punch was just lucky it was thrown blind. The Rahman one he was out of shape and underestimated Rahman and got lazy, his fault yes but he avenged both defeats proving they were flukes. Tyson was knocked out by a no puncher in Douglas who never before or after stopped or ko'd a top10 fighter. Lewis could take a great punch when he was prepared for it and took many off of big punchers who came no where near to troubling him although landing cleanly. These were Ruddock,Tyson,Tua,Golota,Grant,Briggs,Mercer,Morri son,Holyfield and Klitchko.
Go and watch them fights and watch how many good punches he takes from them and then tell me he can't take a punch. Lewis would have beat a prime Tyson 8 times out of 10.

I don't want to be harsh with divad in another thread, but it's what the logicians call a "double question": he presumes an answer to a disputed question, "Is Lewis in the top ten?" and then asks where.

Sorry bro, but a it's ****ty, motivated thread for that reason.
