I think Hatton is making a very big mistake. Everyont thinks that this is the right move but thats dumb. Stop comparing Floyd to Collazo. Just because it didnt work well with Collazo doesnt mean it wont work well with Floyd. He shouldve actually done the opposite in both fights. He shouldve went small against Collazo and go big against Floyd. Floyd only has problems because guys are so much bigger then him. If you take away your size advantage then you have no chance at all. Even if there the same weight or Hatton is less, he still will no doubt be the natually bigger & stronger man but he's taking alot off of that. He needs that weight to beat Floyd. He has a much better chance with the extra weight.

Ive always said that Hatton looked like the same guy to me against Collazo. There was nothing at all wrong with him like people were trying to say. He was still very fast with alot of stamina. His problem was that Collazo was the biggest and best guy he ever fought. His size was not a problem at all

Im not sure if thats gonna work or not, but as long as hes in his best fighting shape.

I think his speed could be a big factor on the inside, Mayweather sometimes goes on semi-defensive lapses along the ropes and at close quarters, if Hatton has a lot speed he can throw a million punches on the inside and Im sure at least a few of them can end up landing through Floyd's defence before Floyd throws an uppercut or short left hook.

hell, his best way to score points might be to just unload quiuck combinations, even if most are blocked the judges might fall for it, and he might wear down Mayweathers arms and shoulders a bit. Certainly better than nothing.

This is the #1 thing Im most interested in seeing during the fight. For the last 2 years everytime Hatton has been on FNF, given and interview, or been on TV he has always said that people fight Floyd the wrong way. He said that Floyd loves when guys fight him the way you said because he will just cover up until the fighter tires themselves out and then Floyd dominates them. He said that you cant go all out even when Floyd goes defensive or gets on the ropes because thats what he wants you to do. He said that your going to spend way too much energy and are not going to land that many clean punches anyway. He said that if he fought Floyd then he actually wouldnt throw that much if he got Floyd on the ropes or in those kind of situations. He said he would just pick his spots.

Now, Hatton has said everything that I have always felt. Floyd does do that and guys do tire themselves out all the time. However, that is Hatton's style so can he just change like that? Also, that style against Floyd still may be better then the other way because if you dont hit him then, how many more other chances will you get? I also think that sometimes its bad for a fighter to all of assudden change what works for them. I think that fighters, like coaches can out think thereselves at times and it backfires on them. My guess is that if Hatton gets Floyd in those spots then he will unload like a 4 punch combo and then let off. No one has ever done that to Floyd and I think it could throw him off like Hatton said.

And when I brought this argument up in another thread people tried to call me a fool. Yeah looks like I'm not the only fool.

His chin is going to be weaker if he takes that approach and then ppl should feel alot more confident about betting on mayweather to tko hatton. Pretty sure the chin doesn't get better being at a lighter weight

Ray Hatton is talking bollocks as usual (about the weight)

According to Kerry Kayes (Hatton's strength trainer and nutritionist), this is not true
