Exactly. If he runs through all four (Skelton, Sprott, Harrison, Williams), then people outside the UK might pay attention.

yeah obviously he has to establish himself again at the new weight.... starting at british level and working his way up. a fight with klitschko would now end in almost certain defeat but he's gotta be given time to mature into the weight division. with lewis on his side and the physical attributes he possesses he can be a major player

i actually think skelton would provide the stiffest test to haye.... his stamina and chin could cause david problems... he would have to pace that fight correctly

As well as there is bad blood with all british fighter against Haye because he was trash talkin about why british boxing is suck and all that and he is the one who is going to make it better.

But UK got enough competition for him to handle first. at least 3 win from those guys and maybe there is some consideration or win the British Belt

Any semi-competent club HW would beat Sprott. Whatever else you may think, Haye is certainly above that.

I take the point that Haye is untested. Remarkably he's got major column inches deriding Maccarinelli's resume when his is, if anything, considerably weaker. But, from what I've seen of him and the rest of the ****ty HW division, he's got the offensive skills to compete in time. Whether he has the chin is another question.

Oh, and nobody should be talking about Maccarinelli as a HW. Way too small. He might have started off as one but that was just poor conditioning on his part. It'd be some spectacularly bad advising on Warren/Calzaghe's part if they pushed him in that direction and they're not exactly risk seeking operators.

agreed about enzo mate, plus his chin would be a massive issue at that weight and i only think it would be a matter of time before he had his lights switched off

SHB, surely you've noticed that he throws hooks like a rookie amateur, which makes him a two punch fighter at HW b/c he won't be able to infight at that level. He also goes off balance when he throws his right hand, brings his jab back low, etc. He fights like an amateur but with physical gifts; that you can't do against people bigger than you. And "putting on weight" is not good, it would make him a blown-up CW, not a natural HW. Surely the more perceptive among British fans have noticed these things and get red in the face when they read these threads.

That's how I would react if an ignorant Yank cam on and asked if Adu will be better than Rooney or Ronaldo. Do the same.

I agree any HW punch could come to a straight end and a guy who is a decent puncher like Wlad how is clam and consistant could really discourage Haye just by jabbing in to the head and taking his pace intell he goes for the kill. and Haye is abit wild which is okay if you are a CW but goesing up in weight is a different gameplan

Well Chris Eubank had the worst Technique ive ever seen his attacking Boxing was awfull & he was a World Champion ,Carlos Maussa ,Ricardo Mayorga ,Pacquiao the list goes on & on and im not even saying Haye has bad technique

a blown up Cruserweight ,Holyfield ,Moorer ,Spinks funnily enough all heavweight Champions eh,and Spinks and Moorer both had questionable chins again im not even saying that Haye does have a questionable chin ,Moorer ,Spinks were Champions in a Much more competitive ERA than Today so what is so outlandish to say in a few years Haye could beat Vlad or at least be a Heavyweight Champion
