Why....because no matter who wins both these guys are legit fighters and real"contender" no hyped up ratings getters......Codrington is proving to be a real fighter against a proven Vet that may not be elite but will give the best at 168 a good fight and has proven that already.

It the start of the 3rd as I type this but see Codrington proving his worth as a future champ already.

Codrington is ****ing up by trying to use his left hook as the money punch....he needs to jab and deliver the straight right e few times and then sneak that left hook in as the closer......

Wow....I am shocked.Codrington jus folded.....too much pressure.these African fighters have it going on when they are on the pedal....thats why I think eventually Sam Peter will prove to be the baddest man in the HW division over the next few years.

Bika Stops Codrington To Win Contender Series

Sakio Bika (25-3-2, 15KOs) became the Contender Season Three champion by stopping Jaidon Codrington (18-2, 14 KOs) in the eight-round of a cracker at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, MA. Bika was awarded the $750,000 grand prize for winning the Contender tournament final. [details]

dam i feel bad for jaidon. that guy seems so nice, did u see him cryin in his corner after he lost. he wanted to win so bad for his family and for his dad. but he has a lot of heart, he was hurt a thousand times but kept fighting back. though the loss sucks he will have so much more publicity now and get much bigger fights so it was a win win situation. and bika is the man too, im glad he won if jaidon couldn't. this is the first contender where these guys can actually make something of themselves and hang with the big boys, at least more than the last two seasons. they may not be the champs but jaidon and bika are good enough to give all most all suppermiddle weights trouble.

i don't know why so many people on this site and other boxing sites hate the contender so much, i can bet my life on it that tonight many boxing fans were made. How do i know, cuz im only 19 and the contender season one got me into boxing. Yes, i now know that mora sucks **** as well as 99 percent of the other contenders, and i know brewer will not become anything, i know gomez isn't a world beater, but i do know i can thank the show for bringin me into the sport. i may not be as old as you guys and i probably havn't been a boxing fan as long as nearly almost everyone on this site, but i guarantee you guys (whether u want to believe it or not) i know just as much as anyone of you guys, even the dinosaurs on this site. Because of the contender i got very interested in boxing, and bought about a thousand books and watched a thousand fights. Now there isn't a single boxer, current or legend, i don't know. i know every important fighter and every important fight pretty much ever held do to my studies and interest i took in the sport. I started goin to fights when ever i could and i myself attended superfights. i can predict who will win against who just as good as the next guy and im pretty much a boxing historian. I live and breathe boxing and its the only sport i follow now. i got many of my friends into too. And thats all thanks to the contender, despite how crappy the fighters may be or how much of a reality show with its sappy story-lines may be. So the reason i basically wrote a book explaining why i like the contender, im tryin to get u guys to stop hating on it and start supporting it cuz it really does bring fans into the sport, even makes diehard fans cuz im proof, and thats what the sport needs. STOP HATIN ON IT AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEASON 4!!!

Your intentions are golden but all I can say is it's goteen better each season and lets hope for the best.
