Yes, Calzaghe can match those wins, though, not technically back-to-back.

        Heres why.

Calzaghe beat a multi-champion in Kessler, not exactly what Pavlik did when he fought and beat Taylor, HOWEVER, that's only because Calzaghe was ALREADY the true champion at the weight. Furthermore, there's an 8 pound difference and Pavlik coulold realistically fight Kessler OR Calzaghe for that matter. And I don't think that Pavlik beats Kessler. I'm not sure if Pavlik would hve that easy of a time in beating Lacy, either.. Calzaghe's other half of this equation.

        Kessler/Lacy.. and yuo got Miranda/Taylor..

Keep in mind, Calzaghe gave them both their first losses, he was older then them, expected to lose, domintaed the majorty of both fights, and was NEVER hurt in either fight. He also had more skill in winning, regardless of how Pavlik ended his fights, since he relied heavily on power. Furthermore, Calzaghe has Eubanks on the back-burner, if needed and he also fought very nicely in that fight, aswell.

Pavlik is not to be sold short, but Calzaghe is a step above him. It's a shame too, since he's had such a HUGE head-start. But, they both have something else they can prove (Calzaghe in one fight, most likely) so, we'll see who ends up being a better fighter, overall.

Calzaghe has already matched them. That's your answer.

I have respect for Miranda but Pavlik's win over him doesn't mean more than a victory over Lacy or Kessler.
it is equeal or more then a win over Lacy and Kessler. Miranda's resume speaks for it self. Lacy's resume was/is crap and Kessler's well I maybe know one guy on his resume. Miranda was certainly more dangerous then the both of them. Also, Taylor should have been fighting Miranda but opted for Spinks, so Pavlik stepped up and crushed him then crushed Jemrain.. ending the fights in the 7 th round is better then letting it go to the cards. In my humble opinion...

A "STREAK" against Wright? C'mon he barely eked out a draw. And Spinks? He looked terrible in there. And Pavlik doesn't prove he's better just from one fight. Let's see the rematch first.
