but i wouldn't take the words of floyd, or arum, or oscar, or don king, etc....seriously.

they are all full of it.
Exactly, this is all posturing for the future. I think Floyd thinks Cotto just might have a chance of defeating Mosley. And if so...he is already making it known to Arum and Top Rank that he is calling the shots and he doesn't have to make anything happen if he so chooses.

God this is frustrating... I wish Floyd would stop being a businessman in this instance and just ****ing fight Miguel if he wins. Or I wish he would have kept his mouth shut until after this weekend... honestly, what good is going to come of him saying this?

Very encouraging about him saying that he would fight the winner of Williams-Cintron though. If he fought Mosley and then the winner of Williams-Cintron, that would be a hell of a run... place him pretty high in history as compared to where he is now.

Yeah, all signs point towards it being a feud with Arum, nothing more.

          There is clearly money there.
He would have a huge speed and technical advantage.
          He wouldn't be ridiculously outsized.

I am hoping Mosley wins now... just so we don't have to worry about this ****.

Taking the Margarito hate a bit far?

Arum offered Floyd 8 million dollars to fight Margarito. Who exactly in the 4-8 spots would be the money draws you're referring to?

Anyone obviously... Margarito can not draw 8 million... the majority of that is Floyd.

Didn't Margarito do a pay-per-view that barely got to 100K or something like that?

Carlos Baldomir gave Floyd 8 million.

Margarito does not bring anything special to the table, especially now that he lost to Paul Williams.

I don't think Floyd has the humility to reconcile with anyone.

That he does. I guess I just find it hard to believe that he couldn't see the "business" potential in that matchup. The only thing that I can think of that would make sense is that he says that so if Cotto does win, then Arum has to offer an even more ridiculous amount of money than there would already be for the fight to happen, that being Floyds ultimate plan which is indeed a smart business plan. I might have looked into that to much but some of you may see the logic in that thought.....but maybe not, I don't know.
