"I found out personally what fantastic foot and hand speed Mayweather has. You have to be in there with him to really appreciate his skill" - Carlos Baldomir
Many ARMCHAIR boxing experts accused Mayweather of running from his opponents like Carlos Baldomir and De La Hoya even at the risk of sounding ******...
Even my girlfriend seethed at Floyd's nimble escapes and called him a "*****". And Didn't believe it was a dumb thing to say!
In other words, speed kills and Floyd Mayweather has plenty of it. Whenever I watch a fight where a speed oriented fighter employs his natural gifts to victory the fallen opponent (to save face)The loser always resorts to use of the "r" word-"he ran".
If I threw something at your head, hopefully you would have the wherewithal to move out of the way.
If avoiding punishment were the stuff of "track stars"
why do you find equipment in every boxing gym that improves head movement? Why do fighters wear ankle weights? jump rope? And simulate ducking punches when doing pad workouts?
THE POINT OF BOXING AND FIGHTING....
Is to "HIT AND NOT GET HIT..."
AND POUND FOR POUND Floyd Mayweather is the Best in getting the Point of Boxing..
Mayweather can definitely walk the walk, and talk the talk. He's the best fighter in the game by a large margin. You may not like him or you may not like his style, but the guy is a brilliant talent.
If you think a guy who uses his legs when he boxes, like Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali, is a runner, then Mayweather is a sprinter.
But fighters only resort to fighting flat-footed because they have no choice. Mayweather has plenty of options, but he's smart and chooses to hit and not be hit.
Now, when it comes to running, I'm going to say this: After he disposes of Hatton, I want to see Mayweather against the Cotto-Mosley winner. If he doesn't do that, then he's running. [/COLOR]
IF WANT TO SEE SOME PEOPLE STAND THERE AND HIT EACH OTHER WITHOUT MOVING, THAN GO WATCH THE UFC.., JOIN THE REST OF THE DUMBASSES..
