A man on top of the mountain has the right to fight whosoever he damn well chooses to. If he feels that the risk reward ration isn't befitting of his stature then he will make adjustments and other moves accordingly. He's a business man, not an ignorant "I'm being controlled mind, body, and soul by my promoter" type of fighter. The man is doing like Fiddy said, he's getting money, and doing it his way. Hell, none of us have to like it! He's almost playing the supply and demand tricks on us; waiting until an opponent is so highly regarded that we are almost ******ic about the match up happening. He's a smart man, and that is the main reason he's considered the best fighter in the world; smart decisions and great rewards.

With 4 belts in each weight class, it's much easier to bounce around and pick the easiest champs than to clear out a whole division. If someone wants to claim to be the greatest fighter of all time, he needs to fight the greatest fighters out there to prove it, not just "the fights that make him the most money." Floyd is EXTREMELY overrated, a comparably boring fighter (given the extreme hype,) and he does the bare minimum to sc**** out a win. Why didn't he fight Oscar or Shane back in their primes? Other than he would have gotten his a$$ handed to him.

I honestly think people on here that set the bar too high for Floyd, as if he needs to really try and prove that he's "the greatest of all time", are idiots. The fact remains that when I look back on an old Mayweather fight, he was always calling out the best and from 130 and 135, definitely fought them. Is about to fight the best at 140, is the lineal champ at Welter and beat the man at 154 that h's been chasing his whole career. I don't think he has anything to prove to a bunch of spoiled ***s who act like women and always want more; I'd retire soon if I was him and say **** the fans who don't think it was enough and just live happily ever after.
