Out of these two? Pavlik-Taylor. The real foty is Vasquez-Marquez II. Pavlik gets the fighter of the year unless Hatton wins or Mosley gets KOd in round 1. Calzaghe gets put in the ATG list - which is reward enough.

Kelly Pavlik vs. Jermain Talyor is the fight of the year because of all the drama in the fight with Pavlik going down in the 2nd round and almost getting knocked out and then coming back to Knock out the undisputed Middleweight champion of the world. With all the drama of the fight it made it a great Boxing match to watch and should be the Fight Of The Year!

..as for the thread it's too early to call, I gotta wait until December 31st to make that call.. out of those 2 fights I would say Pavlik-Taylor because of the elements we saw in play, we saw ****iness work against a man (Pavlik), we saw too much too soon (Taylor punching himself out in 2nd round) we saw a courageous comeback and we basically saw 2 undefeated guys let it ALL out, there was skill, will and thrill throughout the whole 7 rounds.. there was more displayed in terms of perseverance in the Pavlik-Taylor fight over the Kessler-Calzaghe fight because for the most part Calzaghe schooled Kessler, he staked his claim and imposed his skills, he hit Kessler in angles that Kessler couldn't deal with and despite a courageous effort from Mikkel it was Joe who won a clear decision.. not as many eye opening things going on as oppose to Taylor-Pavlik which was a complete topsy turvy brawl yet it was VERY skillful on both parts, the 1,2 from Pavlik and the jab from Taylor.. out of those 2 fights I say Taylor-Pavlik but in terms of FOTY holla at me in December on that.. 100

None of the above because the frontrunner in the race for fight of the year is the rafa-vasquez rematch while still waiting for the results of mosley- cotto and hatton- mayweather fights.
