Nah I'd still say Pavlik. He came out of pretty much nowhere as just a prospect and became middleweight champion. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me.

The winner of PBF-Hatton might get the honor.

That would be floyd who will most likely win that fight

No, he had one great performance against Kessler, but his other ifhgt was against Manfredo.

Floyd fought DLH and will fight Hatton.
Pavlik came along and put the #1 contender then the champ both unconscious in a span of a few months.

Mayweather - maybe, with wins over de la Hoya and Hatton ( if he beats him)

Pavlik - beat the man that beat the man twice

Cotto - Judah, Mosley ( if he beats him in convincing fashion)

            Calzaghe in fourth place running

It was a beautiful performance no doubt, but most people already knew Calzaghe was amazing.

Pavlik on the other hand, beat probably the number 1 contender in the middleweight divsion and then took the title. He proved his worth and I think he should get it.

oddly enough if floyd KO's ricky hatton, with his victory over DLH in the biggest fight ever he would probably get the nod based on exposure alone, second i think is pavlik, knocking the **** out of miranda and then putting the beating on taylor like he did, those two are definately in the running, there are others also i just cant think of them at the moment.

if floyd beats hatton then he wins it hands down. hatton top 5 p4p fighter hoya top 20 p4p fighter. no fighter this year has faced stiffer opposition besides maybe pavlik. if floyd loses then pavlik should get it.

God I ****ing hate Mayweather. Just that mother****ing face hes pulling with 50 cent behind him two of the worlds biggest mother****ers.

And no one is gonna beat Floyd thats what makes it even worse.
