Thats a "how does everyone have it such a wide margin for Calzaghe?" laugh..
Harold Lederman blows another easy round in a fight. Jesus.

I gave the 1st and 2nd to Kessler. When I seen Lederman had given the 2nd to Calzaghe it pissed me off.I had the fight 115-113.
The official judges had it 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112.
Lederman had it 118-110.
I can agree with every score listed. I thought there were three very close rounds, which were rounds 1, 7 and 8.
I gave round 1 to Calzaghe, and he gave it to Kessler.
I gave rounds 7 and 8 to Kessler, and he gave them to Calzaghe.
Those rounds were all very close... no problems with those going different ways.
The round that Lederman absolutely blew was Round 2. Calzaghe landed like 5 more punches in the round, but my god they were insignificant. Kessler was nailing Calzaghe with hard right hands, over and over. Lederman gave it Calzaghe. That guy has seriously lost his ****ing mind sometimes I think.
Kessler didn't win many rounds (I gave him the 1st, 2nd and 7th) but he definately won the 2nd round.Comment

I don't know, some of you thought it was a close fight. Kessler is a warrior no doubt... But I felt Calzaghe earned atleast 8 rounds, though the rounds were hard to score. I thought Calzaghes perfomance was ridiculously good because I thought Kessler missed alot of his shots compared to joe. So, maybe take a round away. And 7-5... I still think 8-4 sounds right for some reason. Though of course it wasn't easy for calzaghe because he had a live opponent for all 12 rounds. Unlike in the lacy fight.
Though you can call my biased because I probably am because I am a Calzaghe fan.
I felt like Kessler landed some meaningful shots, but I felt like points wise he didn't do too great. Thats just me though. Like his uppercut was a mean uppercut.
I need to re-watch the fight though so I can score the fight fairly. And count all the punches that i see landing for each of them. And then I will come back with an honest answerLast edited by EliteSoldier; 11-04-2007, 04:09 AM.Comment

JC won it easy. Kessler had his chance's but didn't go for it until the last round. It was Joe's fight without question. If anyone thinks Kessler won that fight, you need to change crack dealers.Comment

Nah, they're messing around the vargas posting is joking. He is saying that because he thinks ppl are saying that calzaghe destroyed kessler and that the fight was closer on points... But personally, I felt calzaghe won easily on points and it wasn't close on points. I felt that Kessler was trying to land a ko punch through out the whole fight. I felt like calzaghe had a comfortble lead on points... My first watch I think I scored it 8 rounds against 4 rounds to kessler... And no kessler was a live opponent because he landed some bombs. I just didn't think kessler was doing enough to win rounds. I felt calzaghe ducked and dodged/blocked alot of kesslers shots.
Though, I'm probably a tad biased because I'm a calzaghe fan. So, I'm waiting for my downloads to complete so I can re-watch this fight and score it without any biased in it this time. Since watching a fight one time is not just to see how well I thought Calzaghe did.Comment

"Ooo-ohkay, Jim, 29-28, 2 rounds to 1, Joe Calxaghe. Jim, southpaws like to get of first, and that's EXACTLY what Joe Calzaghe's doing. He's langing the cleaner, harder shots, aand Kessler's really gonig to havbe to offset him with the jab if he wants to win these rounds. 29-28, Calzaghe!"Comment

You gave rounds 7 and 8 to Kessler and yet you criticise someone giving the 2nd to Calzaghe? All 3 were clear rounds to judge. In fact it was an easy fight to judge I thought.I had the fight 115-113.
The official judges had it 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112.
Lederman had it 118-110.
