BUT don't you think that our Boy's are giving Fans extremely good value for money lately?
Joe Calzaghe gave a good lesson tonight why anyone should doubt his credentials.
    At 35 years old too!!!!
This guy has been fightin for how many years yet has no signs of damage on him!!!
Can we finally (as brits) get a pat on the back?
And maybe...just maybe... believe Ricardo Hatton the Mancunian Mexicano could upset the pretty boy?

Also for those of you who may not know or forgot...
The Heavy handed David Haye is scheduled to rip the Cruiserweight title from Mormeck next week.

Are the Brits gaining your respect?
Calzaghe definitely earned my respect tonight. I was pretty close to betting on Kessler after watching him in the Andrade fight. I just hope he quits while he is ahead, one or two more wins and then retires.

haha they'd be the same weight. haha.

      Poor Naz.

He really could have made a comeback you know... but, like what my mate says (who sparred with Naz) he had done everything... won the amatuer titles...won british titles...won world titles and defended them! Fought in America and became ****ing rich and a superstar in the process.

What more did he have to prove?

Ive liked Calzaggie since I first saw him (Lacy).
Ive disliked Hatton since I first saw him (Kostya).

Not much has changed after this fight. Its not about nationalities, its about the boxers.

Naseem wasn't a bad guy, he was misunderstood. But, I never liked the way he talked about the 'Arab world'. That irked me.

That he could bounce back from defeat

That he wasnt a one dimensional fighter

That he could beat an elite fighter

That he was the greatest featherweight in hid division

            That he could drive safely.

I disagree. I think a boxer's mentality/personality says a lot about where they're from (and yes, nationality) and their approach to a fight.

Its no coincidence that Hatton and Calzaghe are down to earth likeable guys and Mayweather and James Toney are viewed as loathesome braggarts.

Mexican fighters are another good example.

I agree with Weebler. Thats why its difficult to accept Lewis as the greatest British fighter of all time. It really has no significance what so ever.

Nationality doesnt have that much to do with the people they are. Mayweather is ****ed up, just look at his family. Kelly Pavlik is from America but hes as respectful and laid back as any British fighter.

For me personality usually doesnt matter, it usually has to do with their style of fighting. There are some exceptions of course.

I enjoyed watching Darchinyan and Toney get whooped on cause of their attitude but I love Mayorga cause of his...

Ah you see this is where race comes in. Race/nationality makes a fighter. You should know this kiddo.

Race/nationality doesnt make the fighter, the person does. You think Naz's style is English? No its his own.
