JC sounds confident and that is good enough for me. I dont think he should be eating too many cakes and stuff if what ive heard he likes to eat is true. JC is gettin on but he has a few great fights left in him and theres nothing like good old experience.
Im quietly confident JC will win this. This is the opportunity he has waited so long for.

If anything, if he puts up a good fight, a loss will even help his career, as this fight is getting his name out there. Plus he just turned 29, I don't see him getting anywhere. As far as Calzaghe vs Kessler, it'd be nice to see Joe win, move up to light heavy, get a fight with Jones or Hopkins, then retire. On the other hand, Kessler is younger, taller, stronger and has many more years of boxing left in him, so if he can unify the title and hold it for a while, that'd be cool too.
My take is different. If Cal wins this, I think he should retire on top. Moving up is just asking for damage to his legacy. If Kessler wins, of course he should then open up and try to clean out the division.

Yes, that one. Mentally he was never the same after Tszyu, IMO.

Yeah, the same Judah who under king fought undersized and handpicked opponents.

What I see there is a strutting, focused guy who went into the champion's house and demanded the title. I don't see a guy who was short on confidence.

                At all.

                  Like who?

Undersized?? Zab Judah is a JWW competing at Welter. What undersized opponents are you referring to?

Knew that I shouldnt have been nervous. Joe has never given me any real reason to fear before. I wish that he wouldnt let his chin hang out so much. He could've technically boxed Kessler to a shutout there probably, but I guess that his quirks are what makes him the fighter that he is.

He took some ****ing heavy shots though from a Kessler that had more about him than I thought that he did. Anyone who doubts Calzaghe's heart and chin just dont know anything, he barely took a step back all fight.

Major respect for Kessler though, he is a complete warrior. He's as solid as a ****ing rock too and the interview that he gave after the fight was lovely. A very down to earth and realistic guy who will blatantly learn from the defeat and use it to dominate that division.

One of my favourite moments of the fight was when the final bell rung, a nice display of sportsmanship from both men and as Kessler walked away to his corner and instead of trying some typical American kidology of raising his hands and trying to influence the judges, he simply nodded to his corner in acceptance that he had been defeated by the better man. Thats how the fight was the full way, honest, fair and completely professional and well-contested and it makes a nice change to see it done this way.

janeorg will now hopefully leave this site after being such an utter prick, but peder and the few other good Danish fans on here can hold their head high.
