Calzaghe is one of those boxers who proves that power is a luxury and not a necessity to be a boxer. Winky Wright does the same thing.

Ask Lacy if he got KOd after being hit flush almost 500 times. Calzaghe obviously can wear people down with a constant barrage, but power is not his greatest asset.
Seriously, if you thought of a guy at 168 in history who would be most likely to KO Roy, would Joe Calzaghe come to mind?

Then, while he was allegedly dodging Calzaghe, he moved up to heavyweight and beat John Ruiz. Does this sound like a man who would dodge a featherfisted 168 pounder who, prior to the Lacy fight, couldn't draw 5,000 fans to his fights and was completely ignored by most boxing writers and websites? Calzaghe refuses to fight anyone unless they fight at 168 in Calzaghe's backyard. Is this the guy you think Roy Jones was scared of?
Calzaghe claims he is moving to 175 after the Kessler fight. However, what most of his fans don't realize or conveniently forget is that Calzaghe has been saying that for the last five years. A couple of years ago he had signed to fight Glen Johnson at 175 and came down with a phony hand injury. After Johnson moved on to knock out Roy Jones, Calzaghe's promoter wouldn't return phone calls from Johnson's people and Calzaghe conveniently decided to stay at 168. Then earlier this year, when Johnson tried to negotiate a fight with Calzaghe at a catch weight of 171, Calzaghe refused to fight him unless he came down to 168 and came to Wales to fight him.
Yet, this is the same guy who claims he is moving to 175 after the Kessler fight. Other than Jeff Lacey in Wales, Calzaghe has not beaten ANY opponent recognized as among the best in the world. Roy Jones beat Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, Antonio Tarver, John Ruiz and several quality guys at 175. Yet, you guys think Roy Jones was afraid of Calzaghe? As Mayweather's Manager, Leonard Ellerbe said a few days ago about Ricky Hatton, you guys have been drinking too much Guinness.
I can't wait to see Kessler KO Cazaghe so we can end the myth that Calzaghe has grown to become.
