Has Berto even faced a boxer yet? I mean a guy who is quick on his feet, who can move left and right, jab, has solid defense, etc. Quintana could very well outbox him to a decision. It's a hard fight to pick, but we have the advantage of seeing Quintana fight strong guys who come foreward. We havent seen Berto fight a boxer, let alone a southpaw boxer. I'd lean towards Quintana now based on that alone.
Andre Berto-Carlos Quintana?

Its an interesting matchup. I think Berto is flatfooted cause it seems to work all the time, but if he is ever forced to change i think he can do it to some degree. It's a great fight because Quintana may be comfortable with the lessened amount of pressure that he'll see from Berto. Berto won't be bearing down on Quintana like Cotto was. The fight will be fought at more of a distance where Quintana can get off those long 1-2's and get out.
I just wonder if Berto's hand speed will nullify Quintana's slick defensive ability. We might see Berto landing shots that Julio was just missing...
Good fight though. Berto should probably be the favorite, but we have already seen Quintana make a heavily favored opponent look like an ass.
Berto on POints.
A fight that REALLY is dangerous for Berto, is the guy that Quintana beat which is Joel Julio... but didnt Julio go up? or am i thinkin of someone else?Comment
