Who is the Biggest Coward in Boxing?

They're ridiculous. They spam the forums with "pbf b33t Huhgmen Hattin ftw" all day, then people like me who actually agree with them on this point out WHY we think hatton will lose, like being the smaller man and the 147 weight class, are attacked.
So basically the floyd fans want all of us to
A: Think Floyd will win
B: Think that he'll win because he's floyd p4p #1 and no other external reasons.
C: Ignore reality
Anyways, most of the arguing on this particular thread is that it is not incumbent on Floyd to fight according to every preference Ricky Hatton has. Like it has been said, Ricky is the smaller draw, and is getting a title shot, while retaining his titles. He is also ranked lower P4P.
I agree that 147 might be a small disadvantage for Hatton, but in reality, it's not like Floyd really uses size to beat anyone at 147... keep in mind, his first two fights at 147, his fight night weight was 147. All it means is that Hatton's power has 7 more pounds to break through.Comment

I'm no Floyd fan, I'm just not a hater. Ignoring reality is having Oscar winning the fight. That's ****ing ignoring reality. I just find it sad that people try everything they can to discredit a guy, even if it means bringing up meaningless arguments like the contract weight. Already trying to discredit him for fighting at Welterweight is ridiculous. The havent even fought yet.
It doesnt matter if this fight were at 140 or 147. Nothing would change the outcome. It's just excuses.Comment

Hatton Advantages:
footwork
Power
Inside fighting(leverage)
Floyd advantages:
Hand Speed
Reach
Height
Defense
Accuracy
The weight limit has the potential to effect Hatton's leg speed and power.
The size differential gives floyd two more factors by which he holds an advantage(particularly for an fighter like him).
So these factors absoultely will come into play in the fight.Last edited by BmoreBrawler; 11-03-2007, 02:46 AM.Comment

No logic, lots of blanket statements based on nothing after I already smashed your preconceived notions.
No one is saying that the weight class will be the guaranteed deciding factor for the fight, just that it is a factor, period. If you deny this, you dont know boxing.Comment

There are plenty of reasons to be sure. The weight division and size are just some factors. Here's how I break it down:
Hatton Advantages:
Leg Speed
Power
Inside fighting(leverage)
Floyd advantages:
Hand Speed
Reach
Height
Defense
Accuracy
The weight limit has the potential to effect Hatton's leg speed and power.
The size differential gives floyd two more factors by which he holds an advantage(particularly for an fighter like him).

yes it could be a factor but as long as he accepted the fight then he got to live with it. like Floyd when he fought DHL or Corrales fighting overweight Castillo.Comment

makes perfect sense. Hatton wanted the fight, he got it, he has no excuses considering he picked this fight.Comment

who are already trying to figure out a way to discredit Floyd if he wins, or make him look even worse if he loses.

And Peso, even though you haven't posted on this thread:Comment

Glad to see you aren't going to discredit Floyd... that means that the arguments aren't coming your way... it's the pieces of **** (like that ****sucker JoePal :*******who are already trying to figure out a way to discredit Floyd if he wins, or make him look even worse if he loses.
Hey JoePal:
And Peso, even though you haven't posted on this thread:
Discredit his fans for bragging about a win over a midget clearly out of his best weight class(not saying they will, saying IF they do).
Discredit Floyd for running all night long(not saying he will, saying IF he does).Comment
