In this case, no they don't at all. Floyd weighed in at 150 before the Oscar fight and weighed 148 in the ring. The guy eats cookies, drinks coffee, and snacks on chips. He could have sweat out 8 pounds in 7 days. Stop trying to look for excuses its not going to work.

The weight means NOTHING. If anything it helps Hatton because he can weigh in at 143, still keep his speed, and not worry about killing himself to get those extra 3 pounds. If it were Margarito or Cotto or Clottey who rehydrate up to 15 pounds after the weigh in, then it'd be different.

Collazo was afit 160 pounds in the ring when he fought Hatton. Now thats the disadvantage you are talking about. Floyd will be 150 tops.

Hatton biggest weapon is the fast left hook to the body.

it exicting if he doesnt hold I seen Hatton HL he is a beast with his left hook with the speed and all that. Cotto is a left hook are stronger but Hatton is faster

Because in this case Floyd is the number one p4p fighter, and he is the WBC Welterweight Champ. A) the fight is more marketable as a title fight, and B) Mayweather shouldn't have to go down in weight if he's the one being challenged.

A boxer's fighting body is built at the second weigh-in. After that it is all hydration and rest. Hatton gainst more weight because he has a slower metabolism, Floyd is a freak of nature. Therefore the muscle amount in floyd and hattons body will be set at weigh-in. I doubt hatton will allow floyd to have 147 power while he retains speed but has 140 power.

            Weight matters.

Jesus Christ. Here is an idiot who claims that 147 and 140 do not have any difference and pertain to exactly the same thing. Why do you think they make weight categories *******? Do you even know the principle behind these weight categories?

Exactly. I can't believe that a fan would actually lump two categories in one and call them the same. The things Floyd fans say really.

well Floyd fought at 154 and showed people it not about the size but the brains

They're ridiculous. They spam the forums with "pbf b33t Huhgmen Hattin ftw" all day, then people like me who actually agree with them on this point out WHY we think hatton will lose, like being the smaller man and the 147 weight class, are attacked.

So basically the floyd fans want all of us to

                    A: Think Floyd will win

B: Think that he'll win because he's floyd p4p #1 and no other external reasons.

                    C: Ignore reality

I dont know about brains, I'd say its not about size but the lack of brains of the judges if anything.

But anyway, it is important to hatton to not lose his power advantage because of how he fights. Floyd is a runner, so the only relevant attributes are speed and bribing the judges.
