Jose, I wouldn't really say Margarito was exposed by Santos, since junior middle and welterweight are two very different divisions.
Margarito should just stay at 147.
(1) Ronald "Winky" Wright
(2) "El 7 Mares" Antonio Margarito
(3) "Tuaman" David Tua (ok, maybe not that underappreciated)
(4) Jose Luis Castillo
And to round out the top five of underappreciated fighters,
(5) Montell Griffin (because he was recently robbed by Hoye)
And I will defend that statement that he was robbed by Hoye
Winky was never underappreciated, just ducked by the champs. I think all fans respect his ability at this point. Tua isn't either, if anything, Tua is overratted.
honestly, I can't think of anyone that is underappreciated..I'm sure some will come to me.

Want to explain to me how Winky was "Ducked" when he had recieved shots at the WBA and IBF belts.
Thats the biggest damn myth in boxing that Wright was ducked. He wasn't ducked he just kept losing every time he stepped up.

sure, if thats what you want. If your referring to the Vasquez fight, that was 10 years ago or so and he was soundly beaten. As far as Vargas, it is my opinion that he won that fight. If your opinion is that the champs didn't duck him over the last couple of years, I would respectfully disagree becuase I feel his Boxing ability and the fact that his name didn't bring PPv dollars where the factors in the "ducking".
Shane Mosley stepped up and took the challenge when he didn't have to and look what happened to him.

I felt he lost the Vargas fight Wright faded very badly in that fight and just pretty much stopped fighting in the late round and let Vargas come one and take the fight.
Dont forget Wright also lost to Hary Simon during thise time when he was being "Ducked".

I don't remember the Simon fight..what year was that? Was that recently? for the life of me, I don't recall that one.
regardless, he was high risk/low reward over the last five years or so. I bet we don't hear DLH, Trinidad or Hopkins calling him out anytime soon. I'm not saying they are afraid of him, but definitely they won't waste their time with that style.

The Simon fight was right before the Vargas fight in 98.

yeah, but "Oscar EASILY beat Trinidad" according to you.
You're generaly a good poster, but your Mexican bias has been on display recently.
The boxing game is typically dominated by a handful of fighters who command the spotlight because of their photogenic personalities and their ability to give the perfect quote. But what about those who fall under the radar? The ones that are the equals of the Roy Jones' and De La Hoya's yet don't get the fan fare of the aforementioned pugs. Here are a few candidates:
Antonio Margarito
Winky Wright
Juan Manuel Marquez
Jose Luis Castillo
Glen Johnson
