are thats what happened,he did'nt knock Cooper out for a start Cooper was stopped on cuts and he cheated to stay in the fight ,im not saying Cooper was a great fighter but your statement is false as based on making ALI look good ,your discritption of the fight is very broad

im taking nothing away from Ali by the way he was a great great fightr

it's officially regarded as a knockout.

if you saw the fight you would see that after the knock down ali came back and was tearing cooper apart!

Ali was knocked down by Cooper because he was messing around waiting for the next round to make his prediction come true.

Also, those who compare Frazier to Tyson. ; I think their styles were somewhat different. Tyson was technically much better, but Frazier was more of a machine, grinding down and wearing out an opponent. He took everything fromn Ali before slowly asserting himself, and getting stronger as the fight wore on.
Tyson always was at his best in the first 3 rounds, then he would move his head less, and throw less.
That all leads to an Ali victory if he didnt get KO'd early on. And he was smart enough to tie Tyson up, or recover from taking a KO shot.

How many beat Ali early? How many stopped Tyson late?

Frazier is somewhat different to Tyson in the sense he took more punishment to get inside and kept the pressure on his oponents a lot more ,but that is why Tyson would give Ali more trouble because he was harder to hit faster more powerfull

i was talking about was where his punchers come from up and around usually hooks dropping the shoulder to come up with the left hooks etc going to the body coming over the top with hooks etc, a little roll and boom come up with a hook etc he had that same crab like short style make yourself a small target and use leverage to come over the top with hooks and make it difficult for your oponent to see where the shots are coming from

Hooks are the hardest punches to see when you are fighting somebody smaller and even more so when the fighter uses that crab like style look how Benn was finding McClellan regardless of what transpired after

No officially its regarded as a Tko go and look at what the official result was and it will say TKO not KO

a knockout is when your oponent is that disorientated to the point where he cannot get up before the count of 10 ,a TKO can be when you have 'nt even been on the cavas or you get stopped on cuts how can that be percieved as a KO in any terms

a KO means knockout was Cooper knocked out

Ali beat him anyway but Cooper was not knocked out so lets not pretend he was

                A prime Ali,beats anyone....especially a prime Tyson.
In terms of ring intelligence, intestinal fortitude, ring disipline...Ali was above all, while Tyson sorely lacked all.
It was just that there was no one early in his career to expose his flaws.
He was just your classic bully,if you were frightened of him,he would dominate you...but if you fought back,he cowered.Just like in the second Holyfeild fight, where he choose to get DQ'ed instead of fighting and taking an ass whipping.

Ali knocks him out late...or Tyson bites him to avoid the ass-kicking.

Ali struggled with Frazier's style ,i think Tyson hits harder is quicker ,takes better punch his stamina is as good as Frazier the only criticism i can throw at Tyson is that he did 'nt have Fraziers heart, oh yeah Tyson was more ellusive than Frazier

                    id pick a prime
                    Tyson to beat Ali
Dude, I hate to burst you bubble, but the prime Mike Tyson was afraid to fight old George Foreman. Don King tried his best to get Tyson to sign to fight Foreman when Foreman was active in his comeback. He told Tyson it would be the biggest fight in history (at the time) and he would make more money than he ever made (which was true), but Tyson admitted that he was afraid of Big George. Keep in Mind that this was the same George Foreman that Ali destroyed when Foreman was in his prime and considered unbeatable. A prime Ali would have done the same thing to Tyson in five rounds that he did to Foreman in 8.

Divad you're entitled to your opinion, but frankly you've had better moments. Going after Ali is a tough assignment. Tyson would have had his chances I'll admit, but any top flight heavy has chances against anybody. The simple fact of the matter is that Ali was a much better boxer than Tyson, he was bigger than Tyson, he had a reach advantage over Tyson, he was smarter than Tyson, he had a better chin than Tyson, he faced a much greater number of top contenders than Tyson, he had a better amatuer career than Tyson, he had a longer title reign than Tyson, unlike Tyson he won titles at different periods in his career, AND last but not least Ali had knock out power.

I pick Ali over Tyson without hesitation.
