I don't like this idea at all. Why face DLH when they can face Mayweather at 140? I can see Dios quoting this post in the future. Arum said they'd do it, so saying he wouldn't fight Floyd wouldn't make sense.

What makes a fight, a mega-fight?

When your brain and your heart can't agree on a winner. When you have two guys that you know are going to give their all. When you can't envision a loss for either fighter. Mosley-Cotto, Calzaghe-Kessler, even Mayweather-Hatton, those are what I want to see. Not a fight were you can say, "If he loses, so what he goes back to lightweight."


Making a truly big fight is about making something special. We've had enough "events", bring on the FIGHTS.

a prime De La Hoya at 135 would be too much for Pacman IMO. he has about a 4 inch height advantage over Manny and he could figure out that right jab straight left cobo easily. and if they fought now, Manny would just get abused.

Floyd was the favorite but Oscar was very credible especially with the fight taking place at 154.

Oscar knocking out Pac would be a foregone conclusion. But like Larry said, "If he loses (or when he loses), so what? He can go back to lightweight."

Pacquaio vs Juan Diaz however, I'm very interested in.
