Jose Luis Castillo Stops Adan Casillas in Six

corner stops the fight casillas was down 3 times once by a bodyshot castillo looked slow but he remains strong and casillas face suffered the consequences
after the fight castillo said he was going to have one more tune up match and then go for another world title probably against ricardo torres make 2 or 3defenses and then retire
i think hes got a chance against torres if they dont fight in colombia 147 is definetly not castillo´s weight as he looked extremely slow lets not forget casillas is a total bum that got koed by larry mosley

If he could lay that plan out and actually do that, I'd give him some major props. But, Torres isn't a slouch.

Jose Luis Castillo Wins by TKO!!

Jose Luis Castillo won by 6th rd TKO over Adan Casillas in his first fight since getting KO 4 in his last fight with Ricky Hatton. Castillo weighted in at 146 for this fight against Casillas.

Time will tell if Castillo will stay at Welterweight or go back to the 140 division.

Jose Luis Castillo has weighted as much as 150 in past fights, but was still able to get back to the lower weight in the past, we will see if that's the case this time.

Castillo lost to a certain Cesar Soto, who is a turd in my book.

Well not that bad. But not that great either.

I think he has no future at 146 because 140 is a borderline weight for him. He's fighting for the money. There is no question that he is in financial trouble and the heavy fine from the 2nd Corrales fight really hurt him. I doubt we see him in abig fight again unless it were as a trial horse for an up and coming guy like a Berto or someone

I fully concur. People will try to use him as a very good name to get on their resume. Hopefully he doesn't turn into that.

Jose Luis Castillo.. was anyone even aware he fought last night??

I wasn't .. Talk about flying under the RADAR...

Obviously this asks a few questions...

Were his ribs REALLY broken??? I mean farctures take about 6 weeks to heal.. Clear breaks can take up to 12 weeks...

He fought Hatton Just under 4 months ago...

I guess this is enough time to heal and Train.. But it seems a little too soon IMO..

Of course he is in financial trouble..

Does this raise a new possibility he just kinda gave up in the Hatton fight .. Knowing he wasn't going to see any money win or lose???

                  just asking is all...

BTW way he won with a 6th round TKO
His Opponent was none other than the Legendary.. Adan Casillas 20-6 15KOs

The only reason I knew is because I checked boxrec to see what fights were occuring this saturday. It does seem very odd that he had time to heal, train, and have a bout THAT quickly after broken ribs (allegedly). Hopefully he can get back on track and be a good fighter for some future up and comers to face.
