Right so usually the CHALLENGER would go fight the CHAMPION where he wanted.
However, Joe didnt want the fight, so he didnt go to the US.
      Its very simple.

YOU HAVE JUST STATED the fight would have made tons of money for the both of them then and it would have still made a significant amount of money now. Trinidad and Jones are making 8 digits each and they are both over the hill. I know you aren't telling me RJJ isn't a name that wouldn't garner some attention.
What are Trinidad and Jones making? Tell me the 8 figures each which I dont exist for either. I know the figures are not "8" for either of them, I want to hear the figures you seem to know.

I said he was tough, that's not to say he was good. But if someone wants to use Joppy and Eastman, Sheika had better wins than both.

Its also quite apparent that Jones didn't want the fight either.

              B. A Calzaghe-Johnson fight was made four times and cancelled four times because of injuires on BOTH ends.

              C. Tarver lost to Hopkins before the fight could ever happen. There were talks and Tarver asked for almost 10 million.

              D. When was James Toney or Kelly Pavlik available for Calzaghe? Where do you get this **** from?

              E. Jones priced himself out last year and Calzaghe has been at 168 while Jones has been at 175. Taylor priced himself out this year and took Pavlik instead.
In the span of making a zillion excuses for Calzaghe...

              Toney fought Jones.
Jones fought Hopkins, tarver, johnson and toney
              Tarver fought hopkins, jones,
              Hopkins fought taylor, wright, jones

Everybody was fighting everybody else over the past ten years. But Calzaghe has been in that weight class, and couldn't make a single fight - NOT ONE - happen with those guys.

You are acting like these fight could ONLY have hapened in the past couple of years. CALZAGHE IS 35 YEARS OLD.

All of those guys -TONEY INCLUDED. were within a few pounds of where Joe was camped. Are you saying that a late 90s fight between Toney and Joe couldn't happen? Why not? It would have derailed his Sheika or Veit bouts?

              Your excuses are comical, son.

Eastman lost to Joppy and every middleweight with a pulse beat. So what if Brewer lost to Echols, if you actually WATCHED the fight you would have known it was a very controversial stoppage.

Sheikas has always been a tough fight for anyone, yeah he lost to Booth in 99, BUT YOU NEGLECT THAT HE THEN BEAT Simon Brown and won a clean decision over GLEN JOHNSON in an "ELIMINATOR" to land the Calzaghe fight.
Like I said....one was a title holder (Joppy) when Hopkins fought him and the other had only one loss on his record against the Joppy.

Those other guys I mentioned that Joe fought came off losses when he fought them. They werent' on any kind of a winning streak just like Sakio Bika.

Wright is the only fighter worth a **** in that list.

You must have started watching boxing in the last two years because you seem to know nothing about boxing in the 90s and your facts are always distorted.

Jones fought Hopkins in 1993, Calzaghe turned pro IN DAMN 1993 and didnt win a title until 1997 when JONES WAS AT 175 and TONEY WAS FIGHTING AT CRUISERWEIGHT.
