I can tolerate a standing eight count for newer fighters, in terms of professionals, or if the damage is a little worse. BUt, decisions like the one posted, CAN change the momentum of a fight. It stops the action, in a way that isn't needed. I can see it if the fighter was about to fall, but the ropes REALLY saved him. He was just leaning on the ropes, in this one. It's hard to say, but overall, they can be OKay.

Then Taylor would've gotten a standing 8 vs Pavlik too.

That get's a huge wtf. If he is getting his ass beat let him get his beating until the fight is stopped.

Word... It's put a big "what if" in other fighters that get prematurly stopped.

I like standing 8 counts as they make a fight continue instead of stopping them on a dime.

That being said...if the graphic if no standing 8 count is correct, then it was ****ed up job by the ref.
