So he should've fought the spectacular Margarito? Yeah, he looked real impressive against a boxer in his last outing. Along with those wins he also beat ODLH, Castillox2, Corrales, and Corley. You're blinded by your hatered.

Because I then have to ask myself about all the other guys in his generation. How many prime elites did THEY beat.

real quickly, here's the FMJ resume:

      3 national Golden Gloves
      Olympic medal, robbed of gold.
      Champion by 21
      Ten years as continuous champion.
TEN YEARS on Ring Mag p4p list
      Three years as #1 P4P
      Beat the best at 130, 135, 140
Beat top guys at 147, 154
      Champion in five weight classes.
Never really been hurt or knocked down.
      39-0
Wins over delahoya, judah, castillo, corrales, hatton, manfredy, chavez, famoso, goyo vargas, corley, sharmba, gatti, etc.
His only disputed decision was rematched immediately.

So, I have to ask myself about his contemporaries with the better wins or better resumes. I'm ABSOLUTELY willing to take suggestions.

I like Jermain taylor's resume. But I also have to believe my eyes.
I like Hopkins' resume, but I saw him lose to Roy and the HillBilly.
I like Roy's resume, and have him ranked with Floyd
      MAB/Pac/Erik diminished each other.
Calzaghe hasn't beat a ****in soul

When comparing resumes... it's just like I said and you're guilty of it. I was even guilty of it recently of it until I really sat down and started to ponder a lot of the late 90's action. People are quick to bolster the pasts fights and fighters.

Toping it off with corely really cements your case dirty!

Lost the first Castillo fight, ran the second.

Beat the notoriously one dimensional Corrales--whoohooo!

And the AARP version of DLH---yeah, we got an ATG.

suck it dirty, suck it good you dirty little bastigion!

BTW, Vargas is not better then Corrales, Castillo p4p. He couldn't handle any elite fighter in his prime and lost. Corrales defeated a prime Popo and gave him his first loss, went on to KO Castillo. Castillo went on to beat Casamayor and Corrales in the rematch...which means he didn't lose to all the elite of his division like Vargas did.

Would Floyd beat Duran? He could lose and he could win. Depends on the gameplan. SRL beat him in the rematch by using alot more movement then the first fight. Floyd would beat him with that same gameplan. Standing in front of Duran and he losses clearly.

Who was the true division champ: Margarito or Baldomir?

There, I fixed it for you.

I'm sorry that the fighters Floyd fought had flaws. Perhaps next time he chooses an opponent he'll fight an engineered weapon of war w/ no flaws that will one day destroy our species.

Revolting is the only word that adequately describes your lust for Floyds sack!

The nuthuggery is completely outta control on these boards.

what Floyd fans should do is purchase librarys of fights by truly great fighters- maybe then they would know what greatness was when they saw it because most are just ***in herd mentality ***-sticks that spout ignorance like it was written in stone!

                    Hatton tko10 or sooner!
Hatton will lose so your prediction will be your mute button in Dec .

As far as your post ,,, Ali was bagged a runner just the same as Floyd , all the top fighters from any era had people that bagged them ,,, the only difference is how history make its all bigger and better as time goes by , the aura the romance its all larger than life back then isnt it .

And the fans didnt have the internet or means of communication we have , nothings changed in mans lynch mob attitudes , you cant see today because you are in the middle of it , the big picture of today is tomorrows history and it cannot be compared before it happens .
