              There's no legacy upside for Floyd. With the exception of saying that he beat the best at 140.

              In my eyes, Floyd can only go down in this fight. Beating a mediocre fighter like Hatton means little. Losing to a guy of Hatton's calibre would knock him down a peg unless he avenges it.

                he's in a no win situation.

                all his fans think hatton is a bum.

                if he wins, he beat a bum (who cares)

                if he loses, he lost to a bum and his whole career is a joke

                  Depends on what Hatton does w/ his career. At the moment Hatton is a star, but his entire resume rests on the shoulders of a win over an old Tszyu. If he loses to Floyd but goes on to have a successful career while beating good champions along the way it'll mean a lot more.

                  True ATG status and the like is hard to determine w/ active fighters. Years after they retire the big picture can be looked at.
