Floyd also stopped Sharmba only a few months after the great Kostya Tszyu fought him.

Sharmba is one of the best names on Tszyu's resume.

Corrales was good.. but not a great. De la hoya was good, Floyd fought Oscar way past his prime. Zab is a great fighter with much talent and gave floyd trouble.. but he did fight zab after coming off a loss to baldomir, and zab just cant keep mentally stable in there. and as for castillo, anyone who knows boxing knows floyd lost there 1st fight.

So in the end, those are the best fighters floyd has faced.. But when you look at the big picture, he hasnt done quite as much as some may think.. its a combination of picking the right oppononts for him and at the right time.. and getin lucky the odd time on the scorecard...

I cant wait till he loses if he ever steps up to someone good.. and he will be forgotten as that dude ppl actually called p4p #1 at one time lol..

oscar de la hoya is possibly the most skillfull and teqhnically blessed fighter fmj fought, followed closely by zab, dont listen to wiley completely rubbish zabs career just from the ko loss to tszyu, duran got sparked by one shot from hearns and hearns sparked by one shot from barkley, im not comparing zab to duran or hearns but you get my drift. also genaro hernandez was a very skillfull tough champion

all due respect but you sound like a hater.. this thread wasn't made to bash him it was made to point out the talented fighters he faced, there's 1,000 excuses for every fight that ever goes on but that doesn't mean that every single menchine of the fights Floyd had should be discredited.. if thats the case all them fighters you listed as your favorites could be discredited over and over again it's just a matter if you really got hate for them.. what he did is hard to do and just cause you hate him and "can't wait till he loses if he ever steps up to someone good" it doesn't mean you have to showcase your hate in threads like these that aren't made for that.. once again all due respect but your post doesn't contribute to the topic of the thread..

Floyd Mayweather fought a large string of GOOD opponents, the notable ones have already been brought up and there ain't but 38 fighters to talk about, I think Floyd fought enough to be considered an all time great with his wins over Oscar De La Hoya, a prime Jose Luis Castillo, an undefeated Diego Corrales, a beloved Arturo Gatti, a talented champion Zab Judah, a skilled vet Sharmba Mitchell, hard hitting Genaro Hernandez, KO puncher Phillip N'Dou, slickster DeMarcus Corley, tough and rugged Jesus Chavez and a few others that don't come to mind right now.. I could name 1,000 things that could be considered like ****ed up in ALL those wins but why? at the end of the day he still is undefeated and all that would amount to is me looking like a hater.. 100

Those are the best names you can come up with on Floyd's resume:
Chico Corrales (130superfeather), Jose Luis Castillo (135lightweight), Zab Judah (147welterweight), and Oscar De La Hoya (154jr.middleweight). The hole in his record is 140 jr.welterweight.

Can't complain about anything Floyd did at 130. The Corrales win was the only win listed that actually lives up to the hype.

At 135, Castillo won the first fight handily. Floyd won the rematch by UD in a close fight. He ran but preserved his rep.

At 140 there are no fighters listed because they were bums instead of the real thing at 140....ie..Kostya Tszyu.

At 147, Zab was diminished but feisty. Floyd won a UD.

At 154, Oscar is the biggest name, but he was over the hill by the time he fought Floyd. Floyd legitimately won a split decision.

So, who was the most talented fighter Floyd has fought? Chico Corralles at 130 and Jose Luis Castillo at 135. This places Floyd as a dominant boxer at the lower weight classes of superfeather and lightweight. ON the other hand, moving up has been less than stellar....surely nowhere near "dominant."

                Objective perspective.

yo you a true hater dogz that **** ain't even cool.. not that you should give 2 ****s about what I think is cool or not but you being very very biased in your posts on Floyd, your dislike for the man personally is clouding your better judgement, how can you cite Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo as the most talented fighters Floyd faced? you mean Jose Luis Castillo and Diego Corrales are more TALENTED than Oscar De La Hoya and Zab Judah? get real dogz.. 100

Wow you couldn't have been more Anti-Floyd negative about him and his career then this. Pure hate right here. Maybe if you hadn't typed that last sentence it wouldn't have looked as bad BUT you couldn't help it.
