zab was the undisputed champ at 147 what about duran and benitez did they ever achieve this distinction. what about ike williams how many titles in different weight classes did he win, I hope it's at least 5 becasue oscar is a legit 4 class champ (I don't normally count the wbo but will notdebate the merit of such)
Woah Duran is one of the ATG's, sometimes alphabet titles aren't everything.

lol......were all of these corrupt sanctioning bodies around when the fighters i mentioned above were fighting??? Were they??????

Genius. Greatness isnt defined by how many weight classes you jump either. Junior.

you aren't on my level either. Now you're trying to discredit the all timers. The GREATS. The legends.
      The pioneers.

...and only from a floyd fan. I wouldn't expect anything less from you ****s.

It would be inaccurate to describe any of Mayweather's opponents as "very, very good" as they were only at best comparable to Bobby Chacon. That of course was not an insult directed at them or Bobby Chacon. Chacon was a truly courageous battler that could box and punch. He was an excellent professional fighter.

Most of Mayweather's big bouts were merely showcases for how talented Mayweather really was. But they weren't against elite competition.

      sorry.

in defining legacy they mean everything especially in the modern era. duran never unified or defended any title he won outside of 135. DURAN IS AN ATG BECAUSE he won 4 titles in 4 weight classes something only a handful of fighters in the modern era have done.

        1. Leonard
        2.Mayweather
        3.Whitaker
        4. Roy Jones Jr.
        5. Thomas Hearns
        6.Duran
        7. Hoya

The fact is that Jose Luis Castillo is the only boxer that has the credentials set by this thread. And of course he beat Floyd handily.

Jose Luis Castillo would be the closest thing to an answer (since Oscar was over the hill when he fought Floyd...not even top ten p4p). And, as we know, Castillo won the first fight against Floyd rather handily. Floyd did ride his bike to a UD in the second fight. That was a legitimate decision. So there is your answer.
                      What a bull**** statement.
