Floyd defeated Castillo in 1st fight

Yeah the official judges scores were bad, but there have been worse (99-91 for Mora? 117-111 for Cory Spinks against Jermain Taylor???).

Though I disagree about the rematch. I had Floyd winning pretty good. Something like 117-111 or 116-112.

That and not to make excuses, but I heard floyd had a hurt hand in his first bout with Castillo. Though, no excuses because that would make me sound like the Hatton fans saying didn't do as well against Collazo because he had a cold.



Why is it when someone is having a debate about this fight, there is always some idiot who says this ****. I mean, yes Bernard is my favorite fighter, and Floyd is my #3 favorite, but I judge bouts trying not to go in with the whole mindset he's my favorite fighter.

edit: Oh yeah, about the punch stats those can be misleading. I mean take Julio Diaz for example. He landed almost as many punches as Juan IIRC and threw a lot more, but his punches weren't nearly as effective. That's how the punchstats can be misleading. Though this fight was a lot different because it was being so close.

You're a douche. Saying that there were worse scoring than FMJ-Castillo I then scoring it 117-111 for Floyd in the rematch betrays your intentions in every post that you make about Floyd here.

Try to be a little more subtle with your nuthugging, and maybe some people will believe what you say.

I already stated how I feel on this, Mayweather won, end of story, don't agree if you don't want but IMO Floyd pulled it off, Castillo fought his heart out and even I felt like he was robbed after seeing him put up so much of a respectable effort to Floyds fall back fight but after re-analyzing it I see that Floyd pulled it off, Castillo just smothered him and made it look good but Floyd won.. I like Castillo just as much as the next guy but Floyd won that fight and he erased any doubts he may have left behind after it.. 100

I think Castillo won clearly, but FLoyd today is a much better boxer than he was in the first Castillo-Fight. Also he had an injury, and this was hirst bout @LW against a big, strong guy like Castillo.

I just watched the fight and here is how I scored it:

Round 1 - Floyd 10-9
Round 2 - Floyd 10-9
Round 3 - Floyd 10-9
Round 4 - Castillo 9-10
Round 5 - Floyd 10-9
Round 6 - Castillo 9-10
Round 7 - Castillo 9-10
Round 8 - Floyd 10-8 - Ref took away point from Castillo and Floyd was winning the Round.

Round 9 - Floyd 10-9
Round 10 - 9-9 - Ref took away point from Floyd and it was his best round of the fight.
Round 11 - Castillo 9-10 - Floyd stood right in front of him and they traded body shots. Castillo got the better of it.

Round 12 - Castillo 9-10 Castillo's most active round. He threw alot of combinations. His best round.

TOTAL = 114-112
