ummm i think its accurate for that nite
not so much for them now
they must have learned from their mistake
    oscar for running
tito for not being able to cut off the ring right
if they do have a rematch i go with oscar to out box him once again
but if he says hes gonna bring the fight to him
    and make it fight
then this time ill believe him
    i pick oscar over tito

My opinion on them away from their fight is....

Trinidad is a pure fighter. He got to where he is based solely on the fact that his style is what most people want to see. He built his reputation over time.
He seeks the KO, & does so with skill, & some of the most beautifully thrown punches thrown by a fighter.
He's been called one-dimensional. If he is, he is the single most successful one-dimensional fighter in history.

Oscar DeLaHoya is an extrememly talented fighter....who has continually come up short, & delivered DISAPPOINTING performances in his biggest fights.
So much of his career has been about CALCULATION....from the early padding of his record & reputation with victories over smaller, older fighters....to the fact that he has, in his bigger fights, CALCULATED his fight plan far too much. He's been too tentative, rarely explosive.
His fights with Trinidad, Whitaer, Quartey, Hopkins , & Mosley (#2)....were exercisies in TEDIUM that his fans call "boxing". His fans would MOCK this type of tentative display if it was put out by someone besides Oscar.

He seems to fight only when he senses an serious advantage.

I thought he showed balls by facing Hopkins....but then he went & quit on the worst-looking body shot ever.

Basically....Trinidad is the better **** for your buck.
      Guaranteed NO BULL**** from Tito.
Can't say the same for Oscar.

Oscar did enough to win the fight. He just didn't wanna take the chance of getting KTFO cuz he knew that Tito had that power. But even with the running, I had him ahead in the cards. He should have just kept boxing, wtf was the big deal?!?

Tito:didnt skip anyone fought a lot of people for lil money before becoming great...but he's a *****...for a lot of reason..for one he played that ****** i am gonna retire to get more money in a return crap...then he's fighting welterweights and thinks he's great.i mean i liked the old tito..this new ***** ass tito is just annoying...and then there the whole thing .well u know..he styles his eyebrows lol..thats some good stuff....so he better step it up..but if he fight spinks..i will be glad to see nard ko him a second time

Oscar is one of the better fighters of this era but you have to look at his biggest fights and he lost all but one that being against Vargas. Tito is also one of the best fighters of his era but was shown to be one dimensional. Tito has won all of his big fights except one that being against Hopkins. As far as thier fight goes I would say neither put on a great performance. Oscar moved more than he fought and Trinidad followed more than he fought. I never knew why Oscar decided to try and put on a "boxing clinic" instead of trying to fight the way he always did before the Trinidad fight. Tito's legs and chin were weak at 147 and had Delahoya come to fight he could of beaten Tito convincingly. Tito though made his two biggest opponents change thier game plans. Delahoya and Hopkins both chose to box and move against Tito more than they have done in thier entire careers. No matter how many times people ***** and complain about the decision it will always be written in the books as "Trinidad W12 Delahoya" and that is what people look at most. I thought Oscar won a close fight but there was no boxing clinic that night. Nobody robbed him, Delahoya gave that fight away. Even HBO's Harold Lederman had it 114-114 and it's been well documented that HBO is Oscar's Network.

Hands down two of the dumbest godamn comments ever made on any boxing message board.

Say whatever you want about DLH, but one thing no one can ever question about him is his resume. Only Holyfield has a better one.
